Kelsey had her first performance with her new dance studio. They performed at the "Festival of Tress" and had a "Dr Seuss" themed production (That explains all the crazy hair). That is a gatorade bottle on her head, wrapped with her own hair (and heavily hairsprayed).
She performed a production number with her age group and then also danced in the hip hop number. Hope to post video soon.

Festival of Trees..
Thanksgiving 2011...
Just a quick note about Thanksgiving. We went to Roosevelt and had dinner with my family. It was a good turnout and we had 6 of the 8 kids there and about 40 people total. It was so great to see everybody.
My little buddy Sean ran into a door jam at the church house and after an ER visit and 2 staples later made it an unforgettable Thanksgiving.

Halloween...
This year the kids were....(insert drum roll here)
Kelsey was a fairy. Which was great because we were able to incorporate one of her dance costumes that we already had.
Chase was Mario of course. The kid lives and breathes Mario games. He was also really excited when he found out that the costume came with a blow up belly :).
Sean was "The Flash". Which he demonstrated over and over how much faster the costume made him.
Pumpkin Walk 2011..
The pumpkin walk at the kids school has come and gone again. The school always comes up with the cutest ideas for pumpkins. Each class picks their own "theme" and goes from there.
Seans pumpkin is a "cookie" pumpkin. His is mostly brown because he wanted lots of chocolate chips on his pumpkin.
Chase's class did eyeball pumpkins. A little creepy since that thing is still sitting on my front porch "watching" everyone.
Kelsey's class did cowboy themed pumpkins. Another cute idea. Her picture here has her with an orange vest on. She volunteered to help with the walk for 2 hours one night.

Lake time...
In August our family was able to meet up with my brother's family and spend a day at a lake just outside of Duchesne Utah. Philip brought their jet ski and pulled the kids around on a tube. He also "educated" Fred on holding on tightly when riding the jet ski or on the tube. It was a great day to get a little "sun" and we ended the day by going to U.B.I.C. in Roosevelt.
First day of school...
School started a few weeks ago. Kelsey is in 6th grade, Chase is in 3rd and Sean is in Kindergarten (He started a week after the other two). Where did the summer go?

15 Years...
15 Years ago I married my sweetheart. It's been a wild and crazy 15 years and at times challenging..but so worth it. So what did we do to celebrate it? We got take out from "Texas Roadhouse" and came home and worked on the house (will post about that later).

Parade Days...
Kelsey was in the local parade again this year. She has joined a new dance studio and this was their first hoorah. We were really lucky to have it work out that my parents were out for the event and got to see both Kelsey and my neice Aubrey.
The below picture of Sean...He wasn't interested in anything at the parade and kept asking to go home. Until, this group of teenage girls comes walking through the parade and he stands up and is in awww. They start so young...

Baseball...
Chase decided to play baseball this year and is loving it! He played t-ball couple of years ago and didn't like it so, Fred has been patiently waiting for him to "come" around.
Chase and his dad have been practicing lots and lots and it pays off in the games. He plays 1st base and is hitting really well (we need to get some more pounds on him though).

Dancin Disney...
Kelsey's dance team was invited to dance at the Disneyland and at Califorania Adventure parks. So, 30 minutes after her recital was finished on Saturday June 4th we were in the car headed to California. All of Kelsey's immediate team and a good majority of the studio were able to make it. It was a great experience and Kelsey got a collector pin and a cool t-shirt out of the deal.

Oh Mickey...
I can't believe it has already come and gone. We have been planning this trip to Disneyland for well over a year and with a delay (so we could go with Kelsey's dance team in June rather than going last fall). We finally made it.
We had a 5 day park hopper pass and put them to good use. From sun up to sun down we lived at the park. It really was alot of fun and I am sure we rode every ride (or at least it feels like it).
Chase faced his fear, "Big Thunder Mountain Railroad". At Disneyworld it was too much for him and he stopped going on all rides (of course he was on ly 5 then) But, he loved it at Disneyland. Sean was super brave and went on every ride he was tall enough for and walked away with some cool toys from the Indiana Jones and Star Wars stores. Kelsey was able to dance at both parks was able to meet up with some dance team friends and ride some rides with them.

Beaches of fun...
Are we going to the beach? When are we going to the beach? I don't want to go to Disneyland...Let's go the beach. This is what I heard from Sean until we finally got him to the beach.
We were in Newport Beach and the kids all loved it! It was a much needed break from running around and the weather was great. We spent the day in the water, building sand castles and forts and looking for sea shells. Oh yeah...and we buried all the kids. Funny though they thought it was so much fun being buried and I was just glad to have them all in one place :).
